Just For Me Backpack Project
Every year, before the school year begins, we prepare backpacks for children between the ages 4 and 12, who are clients of Jewish Family and Child Service. The backpacks are filled with school supplies to enable each recipient to have an equitable start to their school year. Jewish Genetic Diseases Awareness Testing
NCJWC has been a leader in creating awareness of Jewish genetic diseases. The mandate is to educate people within the Jewish community. Some inherited diseases result when both parents silently carry the same recessive genetic trait.
